The 2026 beekeeping season is around the corner and we are starting to take reservations for our Spring nucleus colonies that are expected to be available the last 2 weeks of April. These Five Frame Nuc Boxes are filled with 2-3 frames of honey/pollen and 2-3 brood frames covered in bees wall to wall. The queen is mated, marked and bred from stock that produces brood frames like the ones pictured. We have had a 100% colony survival rate in our apiary for the past 4 years. Gentle temperament, fast building, low propolis. State Apiarist hive health certified. 

Ten Frame Setup includes:

•  At least 5 frames of bees with mated, marked and laying queen. Remaining frames are either plastic or wood with a wired wax or wax-coated foundation.

• At least 3 frames of brood and 2 frames of honey/pollen stores

• Used equipment with fresh sky blue or amazon green exterior paint based on availability

• Bottom board with entrance reducer

• Telescoping lid and reflective insulated inner cover

Not included but available for $60ea: Ten frame honey supers with wax-coated foundation

Great starter colony for the beginner beekeeper. Each box contains an established hive that can be placed in your yard just in time for the nectar flow.
